Cloud for Good is seeking Data Specialists to manage the data migrations of large scale Salesforce.com implementation projects with nonprofit organizations and educational institutions. Successful candidates will be Salesforce experts able to demonstrate expert-level skills and knowledge in designing and implementing data migrations. Experience transforming and migrating data to Salesforce via data loading tools and ETL tools (e.g., Jitterbit), including creating the initial data map, required. Candidates should have a strong understanding of Salesforce architecture, SOQL, and SQL. Because much of the work of Data Specialists is client facing, communication skills and a genuine interest in helping people is very important. The ability to collaborate with peers and clients while building consensus is also critical for success.
Location: Virtual: Home-based office in the US or Canada
Travel: Maximum 20%
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Salesforce.com administrator certification (consulting certifications preferred)
- Strong Salesforce configuration knowledge across a variety of Clouds and/or functionalities
- At least 3 years (preferred 5 years) of Salesforce consulting experience
- Strong understanding of Salesforce architecture, SOQL, and SQL
- Experience transforming and migrating data to Salesforce via data loading tools and ETL tools (e.g., Jitterbit), including creating initial data map
- Familiarity working with nonprofits and/or higher education institutions
- Experience consulting on Salesforce implementations, including large-scale implementations (1-2 years of experience preferred)
- Strong consulting skills, including project and time management, communication, and teamwork/collaboration
- Understanding of agile methodology
- Proven track record of continuously improving organizations
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent education/experience required

Main Responsibilities
- Serve as the lead data resource on Salesforce implementation projects
- Create and iterate on data conversion maps
- Evaluate, design, and implement data migration solutions for nonprofit and higher education clients
- Plan all aspects of iterative data migration and coordinate with project manager to align with overall project plan
- Maintain up-to-date, accurate knowledge of NPSP and/or EDA
- Assess client business requirements to design architecturally-sound solutions
- Deliver on project assignments on time and within budget
- Perpetually contribute to the betterment of Cloud for Good
- Show a commitment to customer satisfaction
- Provide informal mentorship and facilitate knowledge-sharing and growth opportunities to less experienced consultants
- Be a thought leader within the Salesforce ecosystem as well as within Cloud for Good
